Manish Kumar (Founder and CEO) is a computer engineer (B.E from N.S.I.T) by training and has an MBA from Oxford University. He has over 15 years of experience in helping companies transform digital technologies into business solutions. Manish has worked with global brands like AIG, TCS and XL Caltin, across insurance, finance and healthcare sectors. Prior to founding wellOwise, he was helping startups in London on growth and go-to-market strategy. He firmly believes that user-centered design driven by scientific data has the potential to revolutionize human health.
Dr. Saher Mehdi (Founder and Chief Scientist) is a scientist-turned-entrepreneur with keen interest in understanding the genetic and epigenetic basis of human health and disease. She is trained as a molecular geneticist and has over 14 years of research experience in studying molecular mechanisms regulating stress and ageing in humans. Prior to founding wellOwise, she was investigating ways to epigenetically enhance the regenerative capacity of the heart. Saher believes that genomics backed health data can empower people to lead better and longer lives.
The brand’s overarching purpose is to revolutionize the way the world thinks about health. The team wants to create a healthcare system where people are not categorized in boxes of disease or symptoms. Instead, their health is optimised through a holistic approach centred around personalization.
